It’s not everyday you get to talk to Spider-Man’s dad, who is an accomplished writer with 6 books under his belt (His new one Made in England can be found here https://tinyurl.com/Buy-This-Book-ok) and a renowned stand-up comic for over 3 decades in the UK! What I'm saying is - this episode of Dystopia Tonight with Dominic Holland was an absolute blast to do! We talk about evening from his humble beginnings as a stand-up, going out with Eddie Izard on the road, juggling the comedy life while raising a family, being Tom Holland’s father, his passion for writing, My Cousin Vinny, his kids passions, being a supportive parent, staying creative, the industry as a whole and more. Day 185 - Nikita Crump and Billie Webb

Nikita Crump and Billie Webb are best friends, content creators, TikTok stars and soon to be reality stars who just so happen to live in their cars. Dare I say more successfully than most people might live in a house or an apartment. Aside from a myriad of stories about Van/car life, their trajectory through TikTok fame, dealing with trolls online and in person and creating enough content to sustain brand deals to survive, the thing that really draws you in is their unfettered and sometimes brutal honesty when it comes to choosing how they live their lives and how much they share with their audience. They’re genuine, they’re real and they out a lot of heart into everything they do. Enjoy this one guys it’s a blast!

Day 184 - Knowing Your Schiff with Mark Schiff

Absolutely loved having Mark Schiff on Dystopia Tonight! He’s got an amazing podcast called - @You Don't Know Schiff so getting him to take the time to chat with us about his amazing career was great. His book “I killed” which he penned with another guest from the show and legendary comic, Ritch Shydner is a must for any comedy fan or someone looking to get into comedy.

 

We talk about his beginnings, his friendship and traditions with Paul Reiser, Larry Miller, and Jerry Seinfeld, his friendship and our appreciation for George Wallace, being left behind by Air Supply, how he manages his stage fright, his influences, and more. Enjoy!

Day 183 - Lobster Party with Angel Yau

Angel and I both started our comedy careers at the same time which probably makes her one of my oldest friends in comedy. I love getting to chat with her because no matter how much time has gone by since we've seen each other we pick right up from wherever we left off. She's one of the most creatively funny people I know, an incredible writer and improvisor and one of the best people I know to share your gummy bears with. Enjoy!

I could legitimately talk to Lea Emmery (SCOUT) all day long. One of the easiest conversations I've had to date with one of my favorite singer/songwriters. I think I may have told her more than once how much I love her former band Kid Wave, so we obviously dive into that part of her life, getting her start when she was 18, living on her own in LA at a young age, pretending to be someone else in bars, avoiding awkward convos with uber drivers, leaving America, Healthcare, Made up professions, Being excited about your ideas and wanting to get them out quickly, getting big on twitch, her parents divorce during covid, legacy tours, making room for the less fortunate, blue ticks, taking over John's Instagram, calling Ambulances and more! Enjoy!
